Good book that serves mostly as a reference for in-depth crack and face techniques as well as technical aspects of climbing. Covers many unfamiliar topics like rappelling with a Gri-Gri.

This book combined with "How to rock climb" and "Freedom of the Hills" would be the way to go. Excellent book!

As the title indicates this book is about advanced rock climbing. It describes a lot of techniques for both trad and sport climbing. It gives an introduction to self rescue (read David J. Fasulo: Self-rescue) and explains a lot about the rope work on multi pitch climbing. There’s and chapter for crack climbing and one for face climbing that explain techniques of movement. There’s also a bit about how to train for rock climbing. The section about anchors is especially good and it explains a lot about placing protection correctly and equalizing different kinds of anchors. A very good book for intermediate climbers.
