It was my 1st belay tube and it works great, after almost 4 years of regular use it shows no signs of serious wear, it feeds well and locks up good.

It was the first belay device I owned, I have had it for more then a year now and simply love it. I bought a Reverso to use as a primary belay device, but for me the Trango Pyramid is easer to use. It is much less complicated to set up as compaired to the Reverso. Also I perfer the rounded edges of the Pyramid instead of cornered edges on the Reverso, this allows for the rope to slide more freely when lowering someone. Not only is it a good belay device but, you cant beat the price of it either.

Bought one as a backup and spare belay device. Eventually gave it to my ex-girlfriend as a gift when she bought her harness. Need to get a new one. Better than the ATC, beats the reverso on simplicitiy. The only downside is that it doesn't auto block to belay up a second.

This was my first Belay device i loved it when i climbed on 10mm ropes in the begining however i prefer a atc for smaller then 8mm becasue the opening in this one is so large.

I love this belay device- tried and true. It has a reasonably wide opening, giving it a very smooth feed, but locks off very well too. One great feature is that you can flip in so the narrow opening is against the biner to give you more friction-- great when rapping on a skinny cord. However, for most uses the wide-end-in configuration is best, givinga smoother feed. It dissapates heat well, and seems very durable. I'd choose this any day over an ATC, but probably the ATC XP is a better device than this. Its pretty cheap too.
