Extremely lightweight insulating layer, good for under a shell or as a belay jacket. Stays warm in wet conditions. Extra long sleeves for overhead reaches, simple design with just enough pockets for stuff. Compacts well in its own stuff sack, washes and dries easily. The downfall - it doesn't wick well.
