Very strong and the gate is clean so that you don't snag anything. A great biner! I find them very easy to clip on and off.

nuts, tricams, and hexes are on these biners. i rack on the harness, so smooth clipping and unclipping of the keylock is a big plus. profile also slimmer than the classic BD ovals used before, which makes for less clutter too

These are a good biners although I like bent gate better for clipping. Probably blow the budget of a newbie.

This biner is actually the newer version of the Positron; the previous model had a flat-front gate that was, frankly, much more comfortable. That flat-front gate is now adorning the Dynotron biners instead, allowing BD to make the Positron much less expensive as they're no longer the top of the line. The previous model would get a 5.

Regardless, after doing a single lead with nose-notch biners, I went out and bought a full rack's worth of positrons (literally - everything I rack or carry on my harness has a positron biner, from nuts to cams to quickdraws; QDs are positron/wiregate). There's no comparison. Easy to clip, easy to remove from your gear sling/harness, and there's no notch to get caught. Great biner for the price.

This is a good biner, but the stick clip does not like this biner too much if your going to use it for making draws that is, but otherwise great biner to use with stoppers or cams.
