I use it for anti-return hauling combined with the Petzl Fixe pulley. These two seem to be made for each other!
Only downside is those damned teeth! Rope can get jammed if you haul the knot up again the pulley cheeks.
The nit-pickers among us will notice that it's not really like a Croll because it has very different attachment points and hence a multitude of different uses. The Croll is a one trick pony.

I like it, it isn't as hard on the rope as most say it is. Works, Reliable, sweet addition to the collection

basically the croll in a different color, works gear for solo top ropes, works good for setting up top ropes if you know how, and what can i say if you have 2 its just wonderful for going up a strait line if you know how.

Works for self belay on a fixed rope like the discription states. If you want somthing more secure I'd get the Rescuecender. I've used it as a gear haul and rigged it to work much like the Pantin.
