This flashlight is indestructible for all intents and purposes, but I have never been a huge fan of it. It has about as much battery life as could be expected from two AA batteries, but the worst feature is the on/off switch. It seems like it has a knack for turning itself on while in a bag or in a pocket, which of course depletes the battery when you actually need it. On the plus side, it is quite light, cheap, and easy to find batteries for.

Classic, Ruggid, tried and true, I find it hard to leave home on a trip with out this light. Average battary life, and almost indistructable. Carrys a spare bulb in its battary cap, and has an adjustable beam focus. Be carful about touching the bulb with your fingers when changing, as it can damage it. overall great buy.

the clasic design just got a new trick, while shoping at EMS a found an LED conversion kit. it runs 3 LEDs and comes with a push button end cap on off switch. as far as the leds go its great nice and brite but the end cap switch craped out after a few uses. still a great way to give life to an old mini mag you may have laying around the house.

This was my main backpacking flashlight until I got a three LED light that is the same size. The extra bulb holder is great since I always seem to burn out the bulbs on the first night of my trip. This flashlight is great if you don't have an LED light, but given the choice, go for an LED light. The bulbs don't burn out as quickly and they give off more light for the same size. Still a very good and durable light though.

The clasic flashlight...can't beat it...years of use, no light bulb change, excellent power consumption. You just can't break the thing.
