Not worth buying, too much friction for belaying, not very smooth on rappell. Spend less money and buy and ATC or a Reverso.

Poor rope feeding catches up and can be hard to get going on repel.

If your gonna buy a tube device don't get this. The rope catches and locks up while giving slack on lead. While I used it for the short time I kept short ropping my partners

My brother owns one, OK for TR ,not my favorite belay device though since it's harder to feed rope while partner is leading.

I started out climbing with this. The increased friction was very handy in learning to top rope belay. I quickly found that lead belaying with this device was very difficult due to the friction. I keep it around to give to new belayers.
