Review 4 out of 5 stars

Excellent climbing shoes, just wish the rubber lasted longer.... But hey, soft rubber wears faster. These shoes are fantastic for toe hooks and I also used them quite effectively in cracks. The hard-rimmed sole works good for edging and the scooped-out interior of the sole is awesome for smearing. I could actually do hooks on tiny crystals with the flat of my foot because of the whole rimmed/sculpted sole. However, they developed holes in the rubber VERY quickly. I'd get a pair and just use them for gym competitions where you're cranking hard overhanging stuff and want that extra edge.

I only use these shoes for bouldering as they have no support and that's what there designed for. After 6 months of weekend use the front ridges on the bottom of the shoe were gone and one had a pretty large hole/tear in the front section of rubber. I sent them to the company and they were resoled at no charge. For friction and toe and heel hooks these can't be beat. My feet sweat alot and these turn my feet yellow, even after repeated use. A small price to pay for great preformance though.

These shoes are great for bouldering, I sized them real small 3 sizes under, just keep trying to go down because the upper stretches nicely while your foot is in the shoe. They are actually wearing a little fast for my taste. Also if you size them small enough the fact that they are laces can be annoying. They perform amazingly though, will edge on anything.

Bought these shoes, broke em in, went to J-Tree, and the bottom ripped on the first day of climbing. They may be sticky, but they are uncomfortable. If you do nothing but climb in a gym on plastic holds, these are good shoes.

I really liked these shoes, they fit me better than any other Mad Rocks I owned (which is a testament to their sizing differences). Good at both edging and smearing, great heel and toe hooking, pretty much good at everything I threw at them. I bought these when they first came out, and as has been said, the rubber was worn through to the leather within a month. I resoled with 4mm Stealth and still had an excellent shoe. Highly recommended!!
