Very sweet belay device that has the added benefit of multi functionality. This gives the user choices on how to use it. You can rap off both sides of the Reverso and choose whether to go fast or slow depending which side you feed the rope through. Where the Reverso really shines is its ability to bring two seconds up at a time and to also autolock whilst doing that job. It is also just as good at bringing up one second on two ropes or one rope for that matter. I like the fact that the Reverso is used by placing it behind the belayer directly into your high anchors for bringing up seconds.
Letting slack out whilst the device is weighted is a bit of a trick and takes some working out how to do it but no biggie really. Rapping on twin ropes is a breeze with this device. I would recommend this device to more experienced belayers and having someone show you all the little tricks is highly recommended.

A very good belay device for bringing up to two seconds, but I still perfer the ATC or Variable Controller for belaying because the rope feeds more smoothly.

Particularly good for trad leading, if you can stand below a bomber belay the autoblock facility is worth the extra 10 grams, the only snag is you need to teach yourself how to rig it as that mode of operation is not so intuitive as the standard belay-plate mode. The new Petzl catalogue shows a neat way of converting into lowering mode, and its easy when you've practised a couple of times (preferably at home). So nice to be able to hold one second while belaying the other. Also handy for locking off a second while the leader takes a great picture for the album
