Nice for trad. Buy only if you will use auto block function.
It worn-out quite fast (for me it took 1.5 years).
For sport climbing ATC or ATC XP is a smoother choice.

4.5 cause nothings perfect - 2+ friction modes, smooth raps, love autoblocks, watch for "sharpening" of the out bound edge (rope leaving device on raps and belaying) texcellent piece - the one they copied!

i have the friction groove version...anyone know if i can get the smooth one still? i find the grooves result in lowers much jerkier than my smooth atc. i'd like to try the other version and see if its any better

I've got this Reverso with the friction grooves. Love it. Nice and smooth, even with brand new ropes, but really holds well in a whipper or when you want to belay.
Cheap, light, easy to use. Winner.

Love this one. Smooth easy to use, never jams up and I can even rap hands free not recommended
