Prinetontec Aurora

I have two of these great little torches. The first lasted me several years, before the pretty flimsy strap attachment snapped off. Then it wasn't a head torch anymore.
I got it replaced under warranty (courtesy of a friend in the shop) and the new one seems to be a bit more durable.
Awesome battery life, and being totally waterproof is a great bonus too.
I have since retired mine in most situations for a BD Spot, but I'll always have an Aurora handy too.

i've gone through two of these. they worked great initially, but once i tried replacing the batteries (which died quickly even on the low setting), they both just stopped working. something inside just came loose i guess. either way, that shouldn't happen. i'll be buying a higher quality light next time

Very light for how bright it is. I also have an Ion, and this beats it out for brightness, standard batteries, and a better fit on my Elios helmet. Brightness settings are a must. I've been using mine for over 2 years and haven't have a problem with the hinge.

A great little LED headlamp. Comes in handy for working in the attic or anywhere there isn't light. Oh yeah, works for climbing too.

Although I find that I only use two of the 5 possible settings, (high and low) this headlamp is light and reliable and I dont go anywhere backcountry without it. I too have only had one problem and that was with the screw on the hinge. A little tightening up and it was good as new. For canyoneering waterproof is a plus too.
