Excellent shoe. Great for edging and precision toe placements. Smearing qualities are also better than I expectedBe careful not to buy these guys too tight. They do not stretch very much!

Excellent Toe Power. Wonderful shoes for hard bouldering and sport routes. Don't try to wear them for long routes.

I purchased these shoes after my 5.10 Anasazis were shot. I can say that the shoes performed rather similarly for me, though, the Anasazis were stickier. As far as Durability the Anasazis blew after 5 outtings while my Katanas have lasted over a year and only need a resole to be good again. Two words of warning, the high cut ankle can be rather uncomfortable if it doesn't fit your foot, and because they are unlined synthetics they are going to smell and real quick. A good shoe for climbers just entering the higher grades, that will probably not need the super sticky and less durable 5.10 rubber.

I have really wide feet so the toe box doesn't give me the tight sensitive fit that I would like but the other aspects of the shoe are really good. The velco straps make them a joy to put on and easy to take off on the way down. Overall, would I buy the shoes again? yes, but only after resoling them to death.
