It's a nice belay biner, but barely big enough for other duties(anchor clip-in, etc)
On belay, i've noticed the rope running out toward the nose, and the head angle is flat enough to allow it to catch a fall there instead of along the spine(where the strength is).
Aside from that, I like using it, but wonder about the gate strength, as there's a possibility of catching a fall way out by the gate with the super flat top. I choose a different biner if i face the potential of a hard fall, just because of that. (I have the same issue with the william, but slightly less so, because it's a hair stronger)
I know that even the gate strength *should* be enough to hold a hard fall, but it makes me nervous that it doesn't automatically slide to the proper position. a lot of other biners have a steep enough angle on the upper end that the rope never runs out of position.
For sport belay it gets an A+, but for other duties, it's only a b/c

I love the fact that I can look at this biner and see weather or not it's locked at any given time...

fantastic belay biner.
well, I would like it more if it weighed only 4.5 grams and had a MSRP of $0.67

So it's true that great things come in small packages! Smaller size eases on the "floppy" belay. Fantastic for a belay biner. For the safety freaks (which should be all of us) the red "unlocked" indicator is super handy although I still do the "click" check. Key lock is awesome no hang ups. Worth the extra $$ for a positive purchase.
