It is great for running and hiking to the base of climbs - work well at wicking away sweat and regulating temperature. I've used it as both a outershell and a layer.
It's light weight comes at a cost though. It stinks as far as abrasion resistance. I've snagged while trail running and abraided and snagged it climbing. I think an unlined (or lightwieght lined) softshell (Shoeller or Powershield) would be a better investment.

This is a good product, but I feel it is overrated. It makes for a pretty good under layer for ice climbing and outer jacket for spring snowboarding, snowshoeing, and trail running in cool weather.
But the Driclime windshirt is and always has been awful in anything but delicate drizzles. Tt gets wet very fast. It's abrasion resistance is awful for rock climbing. I would choose a lightweight, close-fitting softshell pullover instead of this in a heartbeat. You can get one for about the same price, and it's better than this in every way.

I pretty much agree with everything j_ung said. It's the worst piece of clothing I've ever had to put on, but one of the best once it is. I got mine for free, so my opinion may be a bit biased, but it works great as a light jacket or base layer, and fits in a small stuff sack for those nice sunny 50 degree Stone Mountain days when the sun disappears and the wind starts blowing while you're halfway up at a belay station.

The only thing I wish this coat had was more waterproofing. Then again, I solved that by adding the spray stuff onto it, and now it's nigh perfect. I am really glad it's got the ripstop fabric, as I learned it is important not to do off-width climbs in Joshua Tree wearing it.

This thing really is as good as people generally say. It's simple and it works. Treated with Nikwax water repellents, it seems to be largely waterproof as long as you are generating a lot of body heat from excercise. I've biked for half an hour through medium rain and come out dry at the end.
I prefer it to newer Schoeller-type softshells because its cheaper and doesn't feel stiff like Schoeller.
