Fab! 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: tebingcadas, 2008-08-21

I have wide feet and these shoes fit comfortably. Get 1/2 size smaller than the lace-up since they're not fully lined, which makes them more sensitive on the toes and stretches a bit. I think the velcros grab the foot really well, maybe even tighter than the lace-up. One of the best climbing shoes out there for sports and bouldering!!! I know for sure my future sends would be on MIURA VS.

Does it all! 3 out of 5 stars

Took a while to find an online seller with my size in stock (thanks Steve at BentGate!) but well worth the wait. Was looking for something more aggressive than my Katana's and these are all that and more.

Fit: They're like a second skin. No air pockets anywhere and super comfy when you're on the wall (but ouch if you try to walk around in them). The plush lining made break-in time quick and "relatively" painless and have seen very little stretching, so far. The velcro on this shoe is also plentiful and very, very secure, truly rivaling lace-ups, IMO.

Performance: I was concerned that this might be a very "specialized" shoe for steep stuff and overhangs but these shoes are amazing performers under any conditions. Hooks like a monster, great edging, sticky rubber, and the toe box really is like having a finger on each foot. And, yes, smearing is no problem despite the downturned profile. A truly confidence inspiring shoe.

Sizing: Sized 1.5 sizes (US) smaller than my street shoes. Went to my local store and tried on a pair of the latest Miura lace-ups before I ordered these online and the sizing was right on the mark.

Whether you're an aggressive boulderer or sport climber, this shoe does it all. Happy climbing!

Follow up to my previous review...after several months of climbing in these shoes, downgrading the rating to a 3 since I started to notice a tear forming on the velcro strap closest to the toe (first one shoe, then the other). As far as I can tell, the strap is located so near the toe that any foot dragging/scumming seems to rub the strap against the metal buckle, causing the tear.

Also noticed that the velcro, which was very secure when I first got them, has loosened up and sometimes the straps break free. Two small holes in the toe rand have also started developing, though I've still got a ways to go before needing a resole.

Sportiva's are my favorite shoes but you may want to make these your "sending" shoes rather than your everyday shoes. Guess it's back to Katana's for me...

Nothing but good things... 5 out of 5 stars

I bought these shoes after trying on the Solutions and liking everything about the shoe except the heel didn't fit me right. The heel cup was to deep. I tried the Miura's...problem solved. These shoes do everything awesome. They even smear pretty damm well after they break in. Toe box is comfy and pointed. It's like a little bird beak sticking onto the smallest dime holds. These shoes don't look and feel as downturned as they look in the picture but the performance of the shoe is second to none. I love the three strap velcro system. They keep the shoes snug and allow for multiple adjustments since there is plenty of velcro to move the straps around on. The shoes are very comfy for such an agressive shoe. I am a 9 street shoe and I bought a 7-1/2 or 40 Miura. They fit perfect. So far, no stretch. As of now I don't have a bad thing to say about these shoes. My last shoes were the Pontas by Evolv which I will still use and like very much. The Miura's are just a step up in every catagory.

Well, what to say, they are simply amazing! I really like Miura but this one is even better, not just becouse of velcro, it's simply new shoe with all good stuff from lace-up version. Sizing is the same as for Miura (at least for me).
Good thing is that arch is much "stiffer" and wont dissapear after using them.

Just try it and enjoy!
