What to say that hasn't been said already? Great rope, the duodess is a great feature, and the thing is a workhorse. I've had two, and will probably buy another when my current rope wears out (it might be a while)

Mammut flash is the best work horse rope (10+ mm) on the market. it has a great hand, wears super well, does not twist easy and makes a soft ride. The only falt I have ever seen is the Mammut logo they use to mark the middle of the rope will come off the first time you use it. They try to make a big deal that it is on there for good. Unless you are looking for one of those fast wearing skinny ropes you should be getting a Flash it is quality craftmanship at its best.

Smooth and supple right out of the bag. Mine was the solid color (not a duodess), and I didn't see the marking referred to in the blurb above; even so, it's a great rope. Expensive, but worth it.

Impossible to go wrong with any Mammut products. Supple and smooth running through a belay plate, gri-gri or rappel device. Long lasting, well sealed ends that do not breach and allow the core to become exposed after repeated falls. The duodess pattern (pattern change at middle mark) is so popular it has been copied by almost every other manufacturer. While the proce may be prohibitive to some, its long lasting capabilties make it a bargain.

Excellent Rope .. I like the feel, and it lasts long.
I got the Flash Duodess, which changes sheath weave pattern at the halfway mark, so you can tell the two ends apart, and see where the middle is. Excellent product, but it is a little on the pricey side.
