Not the best shoe 3 out of 5 stars

Review by: beenjammin, 2011-03-25

I liked the shoe while they lasted... I had these shoes for three months before the toe blew out. The shoe stretched alot I downsized two full sizes and after they stretched my heel still slipped out with some heel hooks.

Awesome 4 out of 5 stars

These are one of the most comfortable and convenient shoes I have ever owned. I probably have 600+ days of climbing on about six different pairs. They are just so comfortable and easy to get on and off. Most people who buy these for the gym love them and never look back. Most people who buy these for the their "comfy shoes" often find themselves mostly using them on just about everything (as I did). Its surprising how often a "gym slipper" works well for just about everything. If I was buying multiple shoes for multiple applications, I would get a pair of these and the Five Ten Anasazi VCS. However, if I were on a budget or just starting out and and could only buy one pair, I would go with the Evolv Defy because it is less expensive and will have a bigger range of applications. A new champion shoe 5 out of 5 stars

The rubber is perfect, it sticks to anything.
This shoe is definitely the king of overhangs and the sole support is nothing to worry about if you've been wearing the moccasym for a while

nice 5 out of 5 stars

I'm not going to lie, initially, I hated these shoes. I figured Id use them for indoor training sessions, and after they broke in, they were fantastic. They make a great shoe for plastic, but in addition I now use them extensively outside as well. I wouldn't have it as my only shoe, as aggressive heel hooks can be problematic, but for an all around shoes they're great on steep boulder problems/sport climbs and great for cracks as well. Recommended.

Excellent shoe, if they fit. 5 out of 5 stars

I bought this shoe from the man who runs the gym I climb at for $20 because someone else had used them twice. They were like new. Best $20 I have ever spent, hands-down. These shoes fit very tight at first, uncomfortably so, but stretched out nicely after a few uses and now fit comfortably, like a sock or something.
These shoes are great on slab especially, I've found, but are also good for face climbing. Not so great on overhangs, but not terrible either. The rubber is great; super sticky and long lasting. That's the best thing about these shoes; I have used them almost exclusively for a year or so, climbing, on average, 2 times a week in the gym and many weekends outside, and they have LASTED. Of course they've softened, but for the most part they have held up. The nice thing about these shoes is the softness of the rubber, IMO. The rubber conforms to whatever you're placing your foot on, so non-existant micro crystals become uber-solid. Love them!
