I had to buy a new harness after I lost 45lbs!! YAY! anyway I scoured the internet and local gear shops for the perfect harness to replace my BD momentum. A buddy of mine said he climbs with BD everything EXCEPT harnesses Metolius was his #1. So I took his advice. Being 210lbs I need a middle ground beefy harness. I LOVE THIS THING. Took 7 whippers today (a few intentional to get over the fall fear) and this thing caught me SOFT! Takes a bit of fiddling i the beginning to get the fit right but its perfect there after. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED as a first harness or good sport harness. Looks beefy enough to handle trad as well. A+!

Bought this to replace my Metolius 3-D Freedom harness. Basically the same harness with beefier padding and all the safety extras. I like it alot, but as someone mentioned, the rear gear loops are smaller than normal. I think this is because they had to put in extra stitching tacks for the spectra cord running through the gear loops. Its my only complaint. Trad climbers will definitely be more conscious of it, if you don't use a gear sling then I'd suggest something else.

A good, safe, comfortable harness. Recomended if you are willing to drop 85 big ones on a harness.

A good comfortable harness. I gave it a 3 because of the adjustable length on the leg loops. THough it is nice to size the loops, they always change length on me when I strap the loops to my legs. I probably would not recomend this harness unless you have an awkward body size.

Going from a beatdown rental harness to this 'deluxe' beauty was incredible. My partner and I were able to get it pro-deal for $50 each through our work. Ridiculously comfortable, especially for long hanging belays while setting routes etc. Adjustable leg loops were a plus, and the spectra/tubed gear loops are awfully snazzy. However, I don't really see the difference between the various Metolious Safetech harness in regards to 'mens/womens.' The product description seems pretty accurate....beefy...
