These shoes only perform well on VERY steep rock, the ribbed heel sucks and they are extremely painful on anything not steep. If your only climbing pure steep routes, they'd be fine, otherwise your performance will suffer because they can't edge or smear. Given this limited range of ability, it would be a better choice to get a less agressive sport shoe that can handle anything.

Amaizing preformance for a shoe that doesnt fit me well. the arch does not meet my foot at all making the shoe a little uncomfortable, but with a shoe like this it doesnt matter. high preformance from a low cost shoe. i've never used another shoe that preforms as well on overhangs.

First of all, this is the abslolute hands down COOLEST FKING LOOKING SHOE CREATED!!!! Second, it is the stickiest grabbiest shoe evvvver. it heel hooks like no other, whith a huge cup- great comfort and friction. Great toe scums and and toe hooks, great for overhangs as everyone has said, but also awsome on vertical because of the knife-like edges it has. The toes wore out after a couple of months of use but madrock replaced them for free. The velcro on the straps is coming off as well as the rubber on the heel, but i have found out that if you use shoe goo before the problem gets too big, it fixes everything. i also climb in them for 2-4 hours a day at least 3 times a week, so the durability is actuly quite good. Very comfortable-BEST SHOE EVER!!

This is a great shoe, despite the fact that they take a while to break in. They are wonderful on overhang, but i still use them on vertical for their great edging power. All in all a great shoe.

Since I've finally gotten a chance to take them out on something I can give a little review. First off they are way tight. I wear 9.5 street shoe and I got them in 10.0 and I still feel like they are a bit snug. No worries on that as you just take them off after every route/problem. They excel on steeply overhanging problems, like 30+ degree overhanging, and especially on overhanging pockets. If you try these on anything slab to vertical you will be hurting, as they are not designed for this type of climbing. Overall great value but not the perfect steep route shoe. Once you wear out the DDS soles get them resoled with Steath C4 or Trax XT5 and they should be fine.
