Beginning bouldering/gym shoe
Review by: chipacles, 2009-03-16
I got this as my first shoe, when I started climbing in the gym. Most of the stuff at the gym was bouldering and traverses, and this shoe did fine for that. It's comfortable enough for a newbie to learn on.
It's a beginner's shoe; I can't imagine buying a second pair, but it was certainly fine to start with...I wouldn't have appreciated a better shoe at that time.

These are comfortable, which is the biggest plus, otherwise, they really don't have any outstanding features.

These were only my second pair of shoes and i found them to be a good step up from my old scarpa helix's. they're just that bit more technical while still being quite comfortable.

This was my third pair after the Mythos and Cobras.
I never found a good usage for them:
Not technical/ agressive/ rigid enough to support technical and crimpy footwork.
Not enough flexible to have a good sensation and contact with the stone.

I perfer the Cobras over this shoes. In my case the sole started to seperate almost immediately and the rubber around that wraps the heal started to split as well. I love the way they stretched out (Just like the Cobras) and the velcro was an added bonus, but they seem to be falling appart much to quickly.
However, I do like the rubber on the 5.10 line much better.
