Ok here is my field test.
After spending 6 days in the back country of Yosemite using this stove. All I can say is wow, what a awesome stove.
I likemost is the options of fuel that are available to use the most. as for how is cooks that is yet to be determind.
However if water boiling is the most important item, then I am sure just by looking at the stove, that this is the blast furnace for you. They advertise boiling to happen in just 3 minutes, which it did in a really quick hurry. It was hard not to love the ease of use.
When compare to my MSR Whisperlight international, weight is nomial. and compaction is very simular in size. In comparison to any of the canister stoves. It is heavier, however boils water quicker and I feel is a lot more stable for a variety of cookware.
I know that this comparison is a bit weak as the whisperlight doesn't work on canister fuel and only on liquid fuel. But the whisperlight is a tried and true monicker from which I do believe standards can be set from.
I ran out of canister fuel on the trip and had to switch to liquid fuel, to which I was greatly suprised as to how fast it heated and went to even burn stage. It also re-lit easy enough if one decided they needed to heat something more.
My only curiousity now is to fuel efficiency in comparison to other stoves in either canister & liquid fuel.
As for me, this has been a good purchase & one that'll see a lot of use.

When it comes to the small stuff aliens are to bomb!!!!
Wasn't sure about placement of these until I climbed with a partner of mine whom had these in his rack as well as the microcamalots. Now along as the stem cable doesn't get mainky (twisted or heavily kinked) the action on these is smooth and quick. Every thing I want when placing gear in small cracks.
A very great complement to the c-4's.

my original cams in my rack are Tech Friends, however most of my climing partners wouldn't climb with them siting all sorts of reasons.
I finally broke down & purchased a full set of C-4's. 03-6. Yeah some serious change!!!
Love them!!!
Love them for the thumb loop and being a great back bone for which my tech friends fill in as close doubles of sizes for those long routes where you need more than one of each size on the route. I also noticed that the action on the cams was alot smoother than most cams, a huge plus for those times when you're really pumped and trying to protect your next move.
Seriously, these ought to be the back bone of any set of cams in ones rack. These fit virtually any crack that you'll find through out the world.
Now to get doubles for a truely solid rack capable of tackling most any route imaginable.

I've seen these cams for several years now and finaly got to use them when taking a clinic from Jim Donini.
What I thought is this isn't, a have all be all, however it is a gear addition to C-4's. to fill in the gaps in cams when you're not sure what ought to fit in the crack.
Personally, I liked them alot and plan to add these to my rack in the next year. I am most impressed in the the sizes between a red & yellow C-4's. The larger units I don't feel really serve a purpose on my rack.

Osprey- what can I say other than well designed pack. Just wish it was my pack instead of my wife.
I like the way they fit the pack to the person rather than just cookie cutter, pull it off the shelf and use it til you hate it.
Allot of great features - in fact I think I'll get a Osprey for myself next year.
