i have the older model...good basic harness...definetly a good one for the beginner! (esp when u find it on sale for 30$ hehe) - its padded but not the best for hangin out...so make sure it fits you

these are great shoes...sooo comfy! i have worn these things everywhere - which is probably a mistake - they have S1 sticky rubber on the soles which is awesome but since it is actually softer then C4 it isnt the best thing to be wearing in urban environments because it jsut wears quickly...but for backcountry approaches to the crag it is at home in the dirt, rock, grass etc. - again, like the other 5.10 approach shoes i have tried it is sooo comfy!!

like i said i wear these almost everyday but if i were paying 85$ (i got the last pair on sale), i would want them to be waterproof which these are not

everyone should have one on the bookshelf/coffee table/in there pack...anywhere....Mountaineering Bible? you bet...but it also covers everything from basic rock climbing techniques, grips, rigs, knots, climate, practically everything except the experience - if you dont have one, get it. excellent for everyone from novice to expeditioners! - rock on!!

great value for the price (found it on sale for 19.00$) simple functional hydro pack - has clip for the hose so you can clip it onto your pack strap, shirt collar etc. - bite valve is convenient for nearly hands free hydration - personally was looking for a larger bladder but for the price its not worth complaining about

if your looking for a plain simple pack this is the one! - if your looking for one of those 80$ packs with pockets and cargo, etc - this isnt it

these things are excellent...gore-tex = waterproof
not to mention that they are practically bombproof - these were/are my first pair of gaiters - dont see any sign of that changing anytime soon...these have a solid construction and quality - well worth the $$

recommend for anyone who likes to go to places most people wouldnt think of going...and staying dry while doing it.
