Pros:
I really wish these had the colored trigger bars like the comets, or anodized cam lobes. The only color differentiation between sizes is in the spectra sling and a tiny dot of color in the hex socket of the axle.

Pros:
Ventilation is great.
Headlamp clips work surprisingly well.
not as snug on the head as the Erin Roc, though it's close.

fantastic belay biner.
well, I would like it more if it weighed only 4.5 grams and had a MSRP of $0.67

FYI: The standard I'm holding this board up to is that of the Metolius simulator. So the Simulator being a 5, the slim gym gets a 4.

This little board is great because of it's small size. Smaller size equals higher S.A.F. (spouse approval factor) I was even granted permission to hang mine in the kitchen, not banished to the garage like my campus board.

as for a workout, I was pleasantly shocked at the difficulty of the workout regimen that comes with the slim gym. I had worked myself up to the "harder" workout on the simulator and the slim gym's 10 minute routine is every bit as difficult in my opinion.

The slopers are excellent, the best round slopers I've used. The one thing that worried me was the presence of only one edge, of about "medium" depth. I have found the lack of "edge" variety to be a moot point though because of the emphasis on the 2 and 3 finger pockets. The 2 finger pockets are plenty deep, but the 3 finger pockets are much shallower than anything on the simulator, allowing for a pretty damn good workout.

Pros:
It might save you from dying when you fall....maybe.
after locking off a climber it is very difficult to quickly "unlock" the rope to give your climber slack. I have on several occasions had to grab the belay device and yank it away from the biner in order to "unlock" it.
there are COUNTLESS tube devices that are better in every way.
