Really, I couldn't ask for anything more in a pack. It's just the right size, and has all kinds of wonderful features including rope tarp, gear loops, hydration sleeve, etc. It packs everything for a day at the crag, and it's easily taken the abuse I've thrown at it. Osprey is not the most well-known pack company, but I'd say they're one of the best.

This rope has treated me well. The kinks went away farily quickly, however this rope seems to really dislike Arkansas humidity in July. I also would like something a little thicker, and a dry treatment would be nice, but it's a stellar rope for the price. And I'd take it any day over a Blue Water!

Only room for improvement would be a keylock nose and a lighter wiregate. But I hate to complain about these things, I absolutely love them. If I'm ever working a hard redpoint I make sure we use my quickdraws and not my partners - these things clip like butter, and I really like the straightjacket feature, makes clips much easier.

This book is well laid-out and easy to use. It has very good directions to areas/routes. However, it is not comprehensive by any means, so don't let the name fool you. If you're looking for climbing around the central/Western part of the state, buy this book. As for the areas not mentioned in here, your best bet is to get a copy of "Metamorphic Forms", or even better, find a partner who's been around.
