I love this device. It gives a much more assured rappel and means you can catch with noticeably less effort than say an ATC or Reverso (other devices I use). I liked it so much I bought another to give to partners as I feel som much more secure when belayed with it on my 8.5 lines.

Also when matched with a DMM Sentinel biner it knocks a lot of weight off the rack, enough for an extra cam in some cases (well, maybe a small cam!).

Recomendation - A strong BUY!

I would probably have given this a 5 if the rope surfaces were deeper giving longer wear characteristics. Although after nearly two years of moderate weekend warrioing it shows no real wear.

wallnuts are awesome to compliment a rack of WC Rocks or BD Stoppers. They allow for a better variety of placements, especially more flared cracks.

They have new ones out which have the larger sizes extruded to save weight and are very cool.

I rate my Genesis lines very highly. After (let me consult my Geeky log) just under 5000m of climbing they are wearing really well. You can tell they have been out but i would not say they had began furring atall.

One very good feature - The ends are "ultra-sonicly sealed". Sounds very flash, but what this means is there is never ever any creep at the ends. Brilliant.

8.5 mm is a good size. Still light enough but with a little more in the palm than very skinny lines.

I second forkliftdaddy on the forged. I offed my flexifit 2.5, 3 and 4 and replaced them with forged friends. Far superior units, especially for durability. I find the springs to be of quite variable quality in the flexifits, with some banging back into place and some uninspringly creeping back.

The flexifits are very good value and i am particularly good mates with the 1.5 and the 2. Both of which have caught me.
