This thing really is as good as people generally say. It's simple and it works. Treated with Nikwax water repellents, it seems to be largely waterproof as long as you are generating a lot of body heat from excercise. I've biked for half an hour through medium rain and come out dry at the end.
I prefer it to newer Schoeller-type softshells because its cheaper and doesn't feel stiff like Schoeller.
