Climbing the arete.

Climbing the arete.

The initial crack section seems to be the hardest part of this climb but the mental climbing above can be sketchy.

the rope is the thing that looks like a line going down the rock.

Actually, I think Dale is soloing this one. It's not unusual to see him running around with just shoes and a chalk bag sending whatever he feels like pulling on at the moment. Dude's got some skillz.

I agree with rockram when he points out where the rope is at, but at the same time... where's the belyaer? Hmm. Awesome looking climb though.

Is it just me, or is the horizon tilted? If this was shot wasn't tilted it would be obvious that this climb is even steeper than it looks in this shot. That line obviously is a rope and the belayer probably is in the shadow area. Nice shot, great looking rock!!

if that line is the rope, then why cant you see it continue into the air right where the rock ends? and yea, that horizon is horrendously tilted. Great picture tho

my guess...roped climber (isnt that a quickdraw between the climber and the first shadow?), rope vanishes into the lower shadows (where the belayer probably is)

I'm on a rope. Shelley is down below and out of sight. Original belay position is in shaded area but there is a better spot to belay on a ledge about 20' down.
