Emerging from Wiessner Chimney

Emerging from Wiessner Chimney

Angela Arp relieved to be emerging from the depths of Weissner Chimney. This was one of our first 'real' trad climbs. When I say 'real' I mean 'runout and scary for its grade'.

As Tradclimbinfool said this was our 'first' scary trad climb. . . but not our last! The scary trad climbs in the black hills have become a staple of our lives. . . gotta' love the hills! Notice the hexes in the lower right hand corner of this photo - no cams were exploited in our accent of this climb!!! The old school climbers had 'big ones'!
