The climbers are a bit tiny and the second is hard to spot. Maybe less rock, a better resolution and brighter colors would do it. I don't know. I often take this kind of pics myself and I'm often disappointed too. I suppose this type of photo requires some professional lens and roll to turn out real good.

I can see both leader [red shirt] and second. Whats nice about this type of shot is that it gives you a view of the whole route.
