October climbing on the Appalachian Trail

October climbing on the Appalachian Trail

It's not the Gunks or anything but a nice little piece of rock for PA and you get a nice walk through the woods to boot. This is me leading The Nose at Pole Steeple.

response to question: "how high up r u?"
I think the whole route is only 75 feet or a little less and I am about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way up. I'd guess I'm maybe 50 feet about my starting point but obviously a great deal higher above the valley floor which gives you the feeling of more exposure than you are actually getting.
