Me on Klahanie Crack

Me on Klahanie Crack

This might be the most beautiful crack in the world. Well, maybe if it was 100 feet longer.... I love Squamish.

This climb is in Squamish BC, rated 5.7, but it felt stiffer due to the serious lack of face holds! It's completely splitter but pretty low angle, sweet!

you don't need face holds for the crack cause it's got bomber hand jams the whole way up!

Real nice route. We did that one while we were waiting for Local Boys Do Good. I used slightly different technique though. I scampered up with left foot jam and right foot smear. Worked for me!

Yep. That crack's a winner. Its "Squamish 5.7", so more like easy 5.6 (by, say, NE or Yos standards). But that's what I love so much about Squish. Super nice stone, super soft grades, just a generally chilled out place. There's hardly any offwidths even! Can't wait for the rains to stop and the stone to dry.

Are those piton scars, or is it just that "pocketty"?

If you think that looks good (which it does), seriously, find a pic of Exasperator...That is an extremely beautiful crack and climb. First pitch is excellent and the second pitch is not a "squishy" 10c in my opinion...it's solid. I'll have to see if I have it on my drive and I'll post.
