Soaking in Horseshoe Bend

Lincoln Westfall soaking in the beauty of Horseshoe Bend. Is this awesome or what?! This shot was taken by my best bud Dave Dixon on August 7, 1999 during our wild 10-day 5000-mile road trip from our homes in Nashville, Tennessee out through all the big parks out in Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, and back. This is my favorite shot from the trip. It's Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River, just a 1/2 mile or so hike over a desert hill from near mile marker 545 right by Page, Arizona before hitting the Utah border at Glen Canyon dam. Just some moderate bouldering, but the views were unforgettable! (And if you saw some other pics you’d see my sure footing a bit shaken by the wind and the free fall below. :) ) My sister Desiree is the real climber in the family - her recent photo from pinscar is still near the top of the ratings for photos from the last three months!
