The Stairmaster

Our outside wall was about 40' long and since endurance training was thought to be silly by Castle denizens, we spent most of our time on a 12' wall in the garage. When a visiting climber inquired about routes on the "climbing wall," resident Belt Potter looked perplexed. When it became clear he was talking about the "outside wall," Belt exclaimed, "You mean the Stairmaster?" Here Belt, Puke & Arvind do some cardio while Phil chops proper footholds. And I guess someone must have forgotten to crush their smoke. That's okay. If it burnt too long, we'd just pust the fire into the pool. The fish didn't seem to mind. photo: Wills Young
