Hippy Spire/ Skull butte

On top of the Birdtail looking south is a spire that closely resembles a hand waving the peace sign. In the distance are the foothills of the Big Belt Mountains, including Skull Butte, named by Catholic Missionaries after a group of Blackfeet Indians chased rogue Flathead indians to the top. They were forced to hold out Siege style until they perished. A Rock Cairn on top is there final resting place. Photo: Corey Stelling
