Solar slab in Oak Creek Canyon is an awesome route to do during the winter months. This shot was taken in Jan. '05 and it was warm enough to climb without a shirt on. Thanks to Phil Zygmunt for taking this cool shot. The climbs I've done in Red Rocks have always been epic and this one was no exception. On the rap back down our rope kept getting stuck. Good thing Phil and I had met up with some friendly Canadians, Erika and German (otherwise known as Christian) who were willing to share their rope and a couple of smokes! (I'm just a social smoker - I swear!) Phil did some soloing in the dark to get the rope unstuck and we got back to our cars at 10pm! (We had started at 8am.) No parking tickets though!!! What a great day ;-)
