Ginger Cracks TwilightThis is my partner Bill atop the Ginger Butress after finishing up the Grade IV Ginger Cracks. We made the top just in time for the dropping sun to catch the rest of Red Rock Canyon and the surrounding hills perfectly. A great top out to a wonderfully diverse and enjoyable climb!

On a Geronimo belay Ledge....Viva Las Vegas! The best part of this route is when rapping down you get to yell "Rope on Geronimoooooo!" and then the rope gets stuck in about 15 different cracks/features and the crying/rope cutting begins.

Looking down Crimson ChrysalisI shot this blurry picture looking down at the belay on the third pitch of Crimson Chrysalis. I wish I could recall what the climbing was like on this pitch but all just kind blurred together. Maybe a wide crack out left with some faces moves out right.. Sounds about right.

Looking down from Crimson ChrysalisThis shot was taken looking down from pitch 4 (or 5/) of CC. It is pretty much the only ledge on the whole so a good resting spot for the boys. We didn't top out as there were at least 3 parties in front of us and things were becoming a cluster f*ck. The climbing is fun although all the moves feel the same, not sure if I would do this route again as the crowds are nasty.

Racing the WeatherWendy (punkin) and I got an early start and made it to Crimson Chrysalis, which ascends the right-most edge of the mountain, first. Two other parties started up after us, but both bailed due to biting wind and impending rain. We summitted under a darkening sky amid high winds, and then raced the weather down the route and all the way back to the car. That was Day 1 of our Vegas trip. Photo by punkin.
