Mt. Washington Summit Cone "Bouldering"A short venture off the path up the summit cone, this needle-like projection is much smaller than it appears from afar. Probably not worth the scramble, but I still think this is a nice shot.

CJSimpso on Boott SpurMy Photographer friend Nick brought along his camera to document his first day hike of Mt. Washington. The result: My Profile photo. His shots of Tuckerman's, Boott Spur, and Slide Peak are pretty sweet too.

Made it to the TopMe, on the summit via Lion's Head. Apparently it was a good day for climbing, but being the flatlander weenie I am, I thought it was tough conditions.

Heading up Lion's Head Feb 06This is the crew I caught up with at treeline leading the way up. Reasonable temps, wind was fairly low, made for a good first trip above treeline in full winter conditions for me.

The Winter PackAll that synthetic insulation means a big pack - though not very heavy. Coming out sans food and water Matt's pack was 21 lbs.
