Here is a little different angle of the Tomstone Arete. This view gives a little more perspective of the height of the problem, only V0 but its tall. Climber is Chad Berger, photo by the Chossmonkey. This photo was actually taken in January of 2002.

Here is a picture of Nathan Kutcher ( a.k.a. Chossmonkey ) on the boulder problem Classic Tombstone, V2.Nice problem with a couple mildly difficult moves that lead to a ledge at about 14 feet. The next move is the fun one. Either do a static long reach to the lip or do what Nathan is about to do, Dyno! Great way to get your head into highball bouldering.

Nathan Kutcher on the Ultra Classic Devils Lake boulder problem, The Little Flatiron. This problem was put up by John Gill in the late 50's I believe. To do this problem even now with crashpads and sticky rubber is an accomplishment. To do this problem without either as Gill did is amazing.

Nathan Kutcher on the Devils Lake Highball test piece, the Zipper - V8. 21 feet tall according to the guidebook and has a nice boulder placed conveniently in the landing zone, which is the CCC trail. Not a great problem to work on a busy day. Very, very crimpy. Don't fall off the exit moves!

This has to be one of the strangest boulder problems i've seen. This is Chad Berger ( a.k.a. rokklym ) on Saddle Sores, V2. You start out sitting under the roof with your back against the rock and your hands on each side of the roof. Then whip your legs up over the roof and fight your way up into a sitting position on top of the roof. Deffinetly a crowd pleaser.

This is me bouldering on Tombstone. Dunno which, classic or whatnot. Interesting and fun. And yes, the trees actually do grow at that angle.

This is an old John Gill boulder problem near the Leaning Tower on an overhanging face called the Tombstone. This photo was taken in April of 1981.

In April of 1981 I first repeated Gill's infamous "Little Flatiron" problem at Devil's Lake. I have dusted off the documentation and posted it here.

If it feels like you're going to slice off a finger, the jams are being done properly.

This picture is of me getting ready to belay (no I'm not actually on belay). At birthday rock. We set up at the chimney so we could climb a variety of routes.

Devil's Lake Lower and Upper diagonal are top-rope only routes with beautiful view and a lot of good holds. It's a 5.9 route. Nick Soto is climbing, Luis Soto took the picture.

I have no idea what problem this is, but it was fun. Notice the crashpad...for those rainy day occasions. Courtesy of my friend, Bela.

Greatest Show goes straight up the face.
Bring a brush or seven. Sadly the rock quality is not all that great although the line itself is 5 star.
