Derick B. At Spruce Knob June 2005Slightly overhung unnamed problem (least I don't know its name) Starts out on a good edge, then to a crimp and a mono with the other hand. Finally go for the top with a good topout. If anyone has any beta for this area, post comment or PM me.

mwbtle bouldering at Spruce KnobThis is me (mwbtle) boldering up at Spruce Knob. Its an easy juggy problem, really lowball, so since I'm short, the sit start actually made it a 3 move problem. With the crux actually being the two pockets of bone-chilling water you mantle in to top out.
Note the strategic use of tongue biting that helped with the send.

Andrew and West VirginiaI caught Andrew (son of climbinganne) in a rare moment of stillness, looking out from the top of Spruce Knob, in West Virginia.
The dog is Griffith, rescued from Pilot Mt. earlier this year by climbinganne and pornstarr.

cerikpete boulderingErik thinking about the first move of a very short boulder problem.
The rock was sharp, gritty, and slippery all at the same time. Neat trick.
Elvislegs and Phillycheese are boldering in the background. They are MUCH better than we are.

contemplating the dynopornstarr strung up on an unknown problem at Spruce Knob, WV. Slightly overhanging, it basically involves two crimpy moves then a dyno for the lip.
Maybe next time.....
