High Roller

Average Rating = 4.00/5 High Roller

A classic steep, long and tall arete. Bad feet force the climber to paste their left foot on the arete over and over as dicy ever higher throws spice up this high ball.

San Joaquin river and suspension bridge

Average Rating = 0.00/5 San Joaquin river and suspension bridge

A view looking up stream at the pedestrian bridge which offers easy access to both sides of the canyon. A great example of the state pulling out all the stops to make bouldering easier for us!:-)

Snappy v5

Average Rating = 4.67/5 Snappy v5

Mac sticking the crux move of "Snappy" v5. This problem has decent holds to crank off but because of the slick nature of the stone your hand can suddenly snap off the holds with a loud pop sending you flying off!

Stick the Sloper

Average Rating = 4.00/5 Stick the Sloper

Mac full on commiting to the huge throw to a sloper. To set up for the throw this dicy move demands a high left heel hook level with your right hand. v4

Cracker v6

Average Rating = 4.55/5 Cracker v6

Classic problem. Start under the boulder and climb out the horizontal roof crack and then up the steep face to a bouldery finish. The first day of efforts left us with scabs on our hands for a week from the steep hand jamming. This time we went prepared with tape and not a drop of blood was spilled.

Super Visor Traverse v3

Average Rating = 4.50/5 Super Visor Traverse v3

There is no way to avoid the pump on this long traverse! An exposed standing start on the right side gets the fun going. The San Joaquin river and pedestrian bridge are in view on the right.

Squaw Leap V3 Shallow Water Solo

Average Rating = 4.50/5 Squaw Leap V3 Shallow Water Solo

Justin Ross attempting the intimidating "Squaw Leap". After discovering this beautie I quickly decided it was too dangerous for me as the murky water only allowed 2 feet of visibility to check for submerged boulders. Also January temps make for COLD water! Justin sacked up and went for it after removing his wallet and extra clothes in case he didn't make it. After scetching up the off hands crack he maxed out on a slopey knob high off the water and just below the top. We all screamed for him to hang in there but a split second after the photo he was falling toward an unknown fate. After 20 feet of air he disappeared into the river for awhile. Luckily he popped back up after lightly hitting a submerged boulder deep under water. It still awaits a send and we have all agreed that top roping is out of the question, only a ground up FA will do. Good try Justin!!!

Mega Ohm

Average Rating = 4.40/5 Mega Ohm

Grahm on the super pumpy and insecure 40 foot long lip traverse that is "Mega Ohm". A slip off the lip before this move sent me flying off for a bad fall into the pit. Luckily a spotter willing to throw himself in the way kept me from cracking my head open. Thanks Justin!

Black Out

Average Rating = 4.00/5 Black Out

Jeremy sending the improbable "Black Out". A huge toss from here to the lip over a scetchy landing zone didn't stop Jeremy from nabbing the FA on this one.

Cedar Wright Left

Average Rating = 3.75/5 Cedar Wright Left

Brandon sending the classic "Cedar Wright Left". A big toss to the lip after a rail traverse using heel hooks makes this one a crowd pleaser.

Kev-kev enjoying the excellent Cedar Wright Left. "If this problem was in Bishop, it would still be 5 stars." No doubt!

Pebble Wrastlin

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Pebble Wrastlin

Justin on "Pebble Wrastlin". This short power problem works every muscle in your body. Slippery feet and slopey holds makes for tons of body tension.

Splash Down

Average Rating = 4.73/5 Splash Down

A long slippery traverse that gets steadily harder the higher you get. Justin slipped off just after this shot. Luckily the deepest part of the water is directly below the boulder. You still gently touch the bottom after splash down though. What do you all think? If you touch the bottom on a water solo should it be called a DWS "Deep Water Solo" or a SWS "Shallow Water Solo"...

Incapasitator

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Incapasitator

FA photo of the night send on "Incapasitator". Another great night time bouldering session with lanterns and headlamps. This one is tall with the crux at the top and a horrible pit below the problem waiting to swallow you up. Lots of pads helped but falling is not an option.

Desperate Measures

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Desperate Measures

Jeremy sending Desperate Measures. A huge toss from a low undercling makes this one a low percentage stick. Unless your Jeremy who can do it on command anytime sans pads.
