2/3 of EP's tres Gregorios went out for a find day of climbing on Middle Cathedral with women cheering us at the base. Here is one photo of Greg taken by Greg.

Yes i know that i'm aiding. You would too if you hiked 100lbs to and from the prow the day before.

up high on Middle Cathedral Rock back in 1999. Perfect climbing day as my bud and I made one of many ascents.

Surprisingly sporty move for a 5.7 rating. You better be solid three degrees higher to enjoy it.

What a great first pitch, getting better yard by yard.

We took a break after the 9th pitch to reflect on what a beautiful place we were climbing in. What a stellar route!

After the roof starts a fist crack. Very useful a cam # 3.5 !

The thin finger crack above me leads to the belay under the roof near the notch.

A very fun and moderate line, this classic is not to be missed.

I fell on this "5.7" roof, at least the 5.9 offwidth/flare above was easier. My friend Jon Foster from Boone NC took this!

Spring 2005 brought melted snow and high water to Yosemite Valley. Here, Middle Cathedral Rock is reflected in El Cap meadow. You can see more shots of Yosemite 2005 in my Spring Gallery.

We had a great time on this route. Two teams of two each with a rookie made for some very entertaining moments. Oh and the view of El Cap and the Salathe behind you made one not want to leave.

the end of the first pitch is wide and sort-a funky. you want to face climb but it is quite polished. But chimneying makes it tough to exit.

The first Pitch of Bircheff-Williams is one of the purest stems anywhere. It's rated 11b but Hans Florine told us that he thinks it's a huge sandbag. While the first few pitches are the best, the higher pitches aren't as classic.
