Bouldering at Rock City

Average Rating = 3.50/5 Bouldering at Rock City

Worthwhile problem at the base of Sentinel Rock staircase, watch out for loose sandstone and rattlesnakes. This is from when I first started climbing, check out my "climbing shoes" (watersocks).

Average Rating = 0.00/5 (H)airy second pitch of "Proboscis" on Mammoth Rock

The second pitch of "Proboscis" is exposed and mentally challenging. Although this section is 5.9, the overall rating is easily 5.10d, not 10c as the Bay Area guide-book indicates.

Bridge of Sighs, Africanized start

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Bridge of Sighs, Africanized start"

The "Africanized" Start of "Bridge of Sighs" follows the right angling overhang to join the route. Rated 5.11-. The remainder of the route is 5.10+. Although the second pitch climbs the right edge of a triangular cave and then angles up and right on ramps to a small headwall, a spectacular variation is to link up with "Proboscis" by climbing up and slightly left after the cave.
