Picture of the Giant Forest Museum between rain cells. The museum has interactive diplays and other cool facts about the park. There is also a gift shop inside with all kinds of goodies to buy so you can remember your trip.

I took this shot with my last picture at the end of a great trip. Moments after I was on the road home wishing I had brought more film! Anyway I get to see a lot of bitchen things grove hunting, so there's another one waiting for me out there somewhere...

Route follows the right slanted crack for three pitches. Pitch one (5.9) has handcracks that turn into armbars bring large gear, to body jams, goes to offwidth. First belay is 3 bolts with rappel slings with nice slot to belay from. Pitch two (5.8) continues up the offwidth to an exposed section with good hands to large protected slab ledge, gear belay. Pitch three (5.4) climb out of alcove to easy cracks to top. Register is in ammo can. Descent is down the left side of the picture. From top block the is a couple of bolts, one old, one new, and a hole for another. So a bolt kit to bring along might not be a bad idea. Do a short rappel to the ledge below and attach into another rappell station. Two ropes are needed, there is a lot of drag when pulling them so beware. Enjoy!

The general Sherman is the largest living thing in the world and is an astounding 52,508 cubic feet of volume. The General is 102.6 feet in ground perimeter, 275' tall, has a breast height diameter of 21.6' and is still 17' in diameter at 120' above the ground!! Of the 67 recognized sequoia groves, Grovehunter has been to 34 of them. Of the top 40 largest trees in the world Grovehunter has visited 30 of them.

this pitch is part of the regular 5.7 climb. this is 2 pitch after the Jungle ledge. the pro is mostly webbing slung around mushrooms type holds.

Topo of Cinco de Mayo on Castle Rock Spire. First climbed in 1950, Castle Rock Spire is arguably the hardest peak in the High Sierra, with its easiest route (and the only free route) rated Grade IV, 5.11

This is the trip that reintroduced me (and got me addicted) to climbing. So many awesome memories!

This boulder was located right in my campground site. It was a very featureless boulder, but the traverse across the top was sooo fun! Ps. it’s the mineral king campground.... not the main campgrounds up in the busy area of the park, were all the RV's congregate!!! Sorry to all yall RV’rs,,, but ur generators are to damn loud in the mourning!!!

This will just be for the routes section. We went there just before I started medical school as a last trip of freedom.

This pitch (pitch 7) is nice and "furry". Some of the handjams are padded! Actually it's really nice climbing.

Pitch 8. Mossy but very nice. There are some nice footholds that keep this pitch from being too strenuous.

For some reason the geometry on this pitch seemed odd, which inspired this photo.
