Climbing the steep start to Undertow in South Clear

Hiking to south Clear Creek wall, we came upon this beautiful overlook. What a nice view of the Obed River and the sandstone they call Clear Creek.

Got her back for a pumpy warm-up sport climb. I shot these pictures while Aaron belayed.

This was a really fun pumpy 5.9. It was our first day here and we weren't really sure what we were climbing.

This is an awesome climb!!(dithedral)... really fun.. stays dry in storms... LOL we figured that out the fun way!!

This is the extention 12c extention to Pet Cemetary 11a in Steven Kings Library.

What's Rage? If you asked Kevin at that moment, he might have answered that it was flipping the biner onto its gate while trying to clip in order to avoid huge pendulum on the South's biggest roof. Photo taken on Bishop's digital by me, from the top of It.

This is my best lead climb... i was feeling great that day, too bad there were thunderstorms and we had to stop climbing... Taken in the Steven King Library, Obed, TN... this is "It" 5.10a

Working "Spawn" a very fun 10a on the image wall, just to the left of the arrete... the view from the top makes the route that much better..

...still working my way up "Spawn" such a fun climb but it was very tiring... (i have no endurance) and the rock is super soft w/ great friction...

Here's a view of the library ("Biggest roof in the South"???) and beth crusing the bouldery start of It, 5.10a. The line follows the dihedral past three bolts to anchors just below the roof. A fun climb.

PLEASE COMMENT BEFORE VOTING. Hoppinbig took a series of pictures of me leading Thinner (trad 5.7) at Steven King Library, South Clear Creek, Obed. I like this one because it shows how off balance I was while trying to place gear. I think I ended up placing six cams on this short route.
