This is me after my feet cut loose on the roof of Solstice. My first 12! I have a much cooler photo from the front but the file is 2 meg so I'll have to settle for this one.

After ticking my first outdoor .11 to get to this roof it quickly spit me off. At least I got to the second bolt. ;-)

Chilling out after a sweet send of the nearby Undertow!

i've moved into the obed on the next stage of my roadtrip. here i am redpointing violator at south clear creek.
this route has quickly become a favourite and i'm glad i can hang my own draws and push through the pump to the end.

This was a great climbing day in the Obed. Karl led the climb, looking strong and smooth on the crux. I attempted it on top rope, but don't have that kind of skill....yet...still working

One of the nicest 5.9s around. We climbed on a nice Friday afternoon in November, had ALL of South Clear to ourselves, walked out in the dark with no lights...

the light and color looked right. I was sitting on the belay ledge below Cheap Seats and this looked like a decent image.

This one of the routes that I did on my first day climbing outdoors. Belaying me was Zak Roper and other people that came along was Graham Kilgore and Sarah Hodges.

Zak Roper just finished the route, Solstice. It is in Solstice cave at South Clear in Obed, TN. The route is a very fun and sustained 5.12a, one of the classic climbs at the Obed. Taken by David Teeters.

First time on Rage. I will definitely be back to climb it again!

Coco Puffs is a great warm up climb at South Clear. The crux is physically undemanding, but it requires doing a few cool moves.

Very fun route, the beginning dyno is a blast!!

Clint is just about to clip the anchors of Tierrany. Though the picture doesn't show it, he's about 90 feet off the deck and about 40 feet out from his start point here. I don't remember if he got the redpoint this time, but I know he did some time or other.

Okay, I think this is the best picture... Its a pic of our foreign exchange student going down some rapids on our boudlering pad... the pad is stil way heavier than it use to be... fun times though!
