nice finger crack warm-up on the left end of the whale like slab up in the Carnavores. if you skid off you'll get a cactus up the you-know-what.

on some boulder on the edge of the campground. my son was kicking in the dry leaves and watching deer scamper about, this place is so neat.

Sending Butter Fingers off of Turkey Peak, this route took me a while

A great problem that starts on two bad slopers with tiny inlaid edges. Big move to sharp pinch, then up left to the jug.

Profile pic. This is a nice little splitter crack called "Sweat" 5.7 It takes great gear and great jams. E-rock has a splendid variety of super thin face climbs as well as cracks.

Using only roped hexes here - that's really all you need. You get some idea of the gorgeous texture of E-rock, tho the color is a bit faint. Middle crack is a delight. I took my sister (who had never climbed) up this route on TR. She was terrified, but enjoyed the view at the top. I love Middle Crack!

I put up pro-sweat a .9 slab right next to this beautiful crack. Evening walked over and set the t-r on sweat after she cleaned it - then proceeded to crush the route. FUN!

Evening said, "God, I want something for my fingers to grab!!!" Carlos said, "THERE'S NOTHING!" Good thing she learned jamming very quickly!

Once she got her foot up, it was clear the rock would not win this struggle.

Perserverance and one good toe! She picked up a big victory and powered out of this short, but stout 5.9
