Gu Dong (Old East) is a series of waterfalls that the Chinese cut footsteps out of and hung a chain on, so that people could climb up them. I had to buy these straw sandels to wear while climbing because they wouldn't let me use my teva's with spidder rubber (which would have def been more safe) ... haha. ... oh yeah... umm i'm the white guy.

after we had climbed the orange party we set up a top rope on some small cliff up top of the main face. i'd rate it about 11a. while i was climbing up it a army hellicopter hovered about 300 feet from me taking pictures. also, note the major sunburn. i couldn't go to work the next day because of it.

This was a friends first climb ever and managed to crimp his way to the top of the slab, using a few knees.
