Eileen (the fabulous red head on the left) enjoying her first multi pitch trad summit. We are having a blast on the Cingue Torri near Cortina.

Here I am finishing the top of the Trenker Crack. As you can see you can get great exposure with very moderate climbing in the Dolomites.

The best part of climbing in Italy is the Reffugios (Huts) that supply beer and desert so that you are never far from food.

Okay, so we underestimated how long the climb would take and here we are on top watching the sun go down. We only have to descend 1000 meters, easy money.

Here are Jim and Carrie following on Pont Fiames. We were belaying both followers at the same time using a reverso. A great system for a party of three.

This is Bob belaying me when he came to visit Eileen and I here on St. John in the U.S. Virgin islands three weeks ago. He and Bonnie and Jim Wilson had a wonderful time and was the third time he had come to visit which is remarkable for someone who hated to fly as Bob did. Especially to a place with almost no climbing!

This is a little late. When we were in the Red last year John joined us for a day of climbing. I thought I would share his photo.
We all mourn his loss.
