Mundo Aventura climbing gym in San Jose, Costa Rica

Average Rating = 2.33/5 Mundo Aventura climbing gym in San Jose, Costa Rica

This is the main wall area in the gym. The locals were warm and inviting. On the night I was there, most of the time seemed to be spent in the cave section to the right of this photo. A great place to go if you are in San Jose. The staff there were very helpful!

Stone Hill, Montana 08.12.02. The area is riddled with great climbs. I do not know the name, nor rating of this one. It was a blast for being on rock for the first time. The setting is beautiful next to Lake Koocanusa. Me on the top rope, wife took the shot. Thanks, G!

Early morning shot from Huayna Picchu looking down onto Machu Pichu. The sheer beauty of this place was complimented by the magical feeling left by those who lived and worked here in times past. Go if you ever get a chance, it is well worth it!

Irazu Volcano, Costa Rica

Average Rating = 2.67/5 Irazu Volcano, Costa Rica

On an unusually clear day, I got this shot of the opposite side of the crater. What struck me was the color of the place (or, lack thereof) . Except for the few plants, the cyan sky and the stunning green lake in the caldera, the place reminded me of the moon.

Sooo much water, in the middle of the jungle!

Average Rating = 3.33/5 Sooo much water, in the middle of the jungle!

When we made it to the edge of the gorge, it was 99% humidity and warm...real warm. We could hear the roar of the falls before we ever saw them. The prep work before hand, the sound, and all that we heard did not prepare us for what we saw. Amazing. Nothing less!
