Quantum Fields. Day 1. We're like kids in a candy store! I spot a beautiful crack on a boulder a little bit out of the other boulders. I hang back and photograph Luke climbing it then climb it myself. Mmmmm... limestone crack climbing. Photo by Elliot Braham. Cropped rock in the top-right and re-submitted.

Happy to have finally made it to the hut after a very strenous 5 minute helicopter ride (The only way to mountaineer!) and digging a snow cave, I got to enjoy one of the most spectacular sunsets I've ever seen.

A nice big crevasse near Pioneer Hut. The 3 people walking around it had trekked over from Centennial Hut during the middle of the day. Quite a hard task with the sloshy snow and heat. Luke jumped down this crevasse later that afternoon so I could practise crevasse rescue. Photo by Elliot Braham

Not a good forecast for sending. This was taken at the Hangdog Camp for Climbers. All of 5 minutes walk to over 300 sport climbs and 2 minutes walk to the nicest waterhole I've ever seen, complete with deep-water soloing, cliff jumps, underwater caves, rope swings and eels to catch.

The most photographed sport climb in New Zealand and for good reason (Hamish, behind me, took 200 photos in 10 minutes). The climb is a beautiful, juggy roof suspended 40 metres above the ground (Graded 23 [5.11b]). Quite a head spin. It even has a hands free rest. Climber is Ivan. Photo by Elliot Braham.

End of a long weekend of climbing, I was standing on a small ledge quite high above the ground taking some photo's of my friends. Then I turned around and took one shot of this guy behind me. Taken at Zig Zag Crag, Blue Mountains on 9-June-2003 by Elliot.
